Since April of this year I've collaborated with 9 other artists to create 10 remotely-produced duets, and we have now reached number 11 with RECIPES, a collaboration with Cork, Ireland-based composer-performer Andy Ingamells. The concept for the album is very loosely based on the album Indeterminacy by John Cage and David Tudor: Andy recorded the text (which was co-written between Andy Ingamells and Aaron Moorehouse) while I created the music and, eventually, put everything together. The text for both pieces on the album outlines the process of preparing a meal, with one presented as a guided imagery meditation, the other more rapid-fire.
