The score for Study no. 5 [Rainbow] uses Animated Notation in a more suggestive manner by displaying a series of semi-controlled, yet chaotic, notehead-like images far above the staff. The implication of significant rhythmic activity high in the frequency range is clearly represented, while the lack of any discernible pattern implores the performer to avoid repetitive playing.

Continuously play one's highest audible frequencies in an aggressive manner.
Timbral and rhythmic fluctuations are highly encouraged. Use the animated notation as a guide to this end.
